Are you ready for…

The Rapture

As we look around our world today, it seems as if everything is falling apart. Yet through the student of the Bible, we see everything falling into place as the scriptures explain the signs of the time for Christ’s return.

We also know that NO man knows the day or the hour that Jesus will come.

The word rapture means caught up or taken away.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 NKJV

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Sleep in this verse refers to once we die.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NKJV

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

How can I be ready you ask?

First, you need to know that God does in fact LOVE YOU!

John 3:16-17 NKJV

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Often, we feel that God does not love us, I have gone too far, I am too bad, God could not love me, much less forgive me. These are all lies and far from the heart of God.

The Bible teaches that Satan is a deceiver and the Father of Lies.

God did not send Jesus to condemn you; Jesus came to set us free from condemnation.

John 14:6 NKJV

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 3:3 NKJV

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 10:10 NKJV

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Romans 10:9-10 NKJV

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Revelation 3:20 NKJV

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Revelation 3:10-12 NKJV

10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

Matthew 25:1-13 NKJV

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Maybe at this time, you have never asked Jesus to come into your life. If you have never been born again, this can be your moment to receive Christ to become your Lord and Savior.

Or maybe you want to rededicate your life to the Lord.

Often times a minister will have a person repeat a “prayer” and that is fine. But I will tell you that a cry from your heart in your own words will not be rejected.

I sat one night broken and at the end of my ropes when all I said was …

“Jesus if you are real change my life, and if not I’m out of here.”

And from that moment on, my life has never been the same!

To receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior and start a new road, pray this prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask you to forgive me of all of my sins, come into my heart, and take control. Forgive me for all of my sins and wash me in the precious blood of Jesus. I repent of my sins and ask that Your Holy Spirit lead, guide, and teach me Your ways that I might follow You all the days of my life.

If you have received the Lord or rededicated your life, we would love to hear from you!
