Next Steps
“From the family at Reconnect Fellowship, congratulations! You have just made the most important decision in your life. You are on the road to a new beginning. God has a wonderful plan for you but with every journey we need a road map so to speak. You might be asking yourself “now what??” As a teenager I was taken to a church service and made the same decision you have just made today and while I felt wonderfully changed and different, no one explained to me ‘now what??’ And so it was little-by-little I fell back into the same lifestyle as before eventually even getting worse. There are several things needed to continue on this new beginning. While this list is not complete, it is simply a starting point beginning with prayer.”

Prayer of Salvation
What is salvation?
According to the dictionary, salvation means “preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss.”
Romans 10:9 states “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (ESV)
It is also written in Romans 10:13 that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (ESV)
If you’re ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, all you have to do is confess with your mouth and believe in your heart. You might be wondering: “how exactly do I do this?”
It’s all a matter of prayer. Repeat this salvation prayer:
“Dear God,
I admit I am a sinner and need your forgiveness; I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place paying the penalty for my sins. I am willing right now to turn from my sin and accept Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord. I commit myself to you and ask you to send the Holy Spirit into my life, to fill me and take control, and to help me become the kind of person you want me to be. Thank you Father for loving me. In Jesus’ name.
Amen“
NOTE: if you just finished praying the salvation prayer above, we believe you are now born again! There’s a party going on in Heaven right now over your salvation (see Luke 15:10)!
The next time you come visit us at Reconnect Fellowship, please let the pastor or someone know. We want to take part in celebrating your salvation.
Read God’s Promises
The Bible is the revealed Word of God to man: The New Testament is our sole rule for discipline and government (II Timothy 3:15-17; II Peter 1:21).
Your Bible is filled with wonderful promises from God for YOU! As a new believer we would suggest start with the book of John.
